IMIM DUBAI: AL- FUTTAIM LOGISTICS AWARD CEREMONY

The logistics department at Dubai Campus continues to expand its horizons and connect its students with key industry leaders and stakeholders. The department, led by Dr. Shereen Nassar, Global Director of Logistics Studies, has taken a step further in its strategic partnerships as they hosted an awards ceremony ceremony for post graduate students along with industry leader – Al Futtaim Logistics.

During the students’ warehouse visit, Al-Futtaim Logistics announced a prize for the best performing group in the Warehouse project within the Freight, Transport and Warehouse Management Course. The Warehouse Project assignment was based on simulating a real life warehouse design project in simplified shape and form. It consisted of a ten-minute group presentation. The project was globally led by Florian Scheuring, Assistant Professor of Business Management at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh) and locally by Michael Stockdale, CEO B2C Logistics.
 

Al Futtaim Logistics has also announced other opportunities for our students.  A hybrid award ceremony was held at the Dubai campus where the team comprising of six students – Jorge Gutierrez, Sergio Sanjurjo Barrio, Fernando Hurtado, Ferran Todoli, Shuhaib Chukkan and Yixia Li were presented a prize by representatives from Al Futtaim Logistics – Dr Raman Kumar, Managing Director and  at Al Futtaim Logistics and Mr Sooraj Mathew, Commercial Manager. The ceremony was also followed by a campus-guided tour for Al-Futtaim Logistics guests.
