Services to students

What can we do for you

The Universities in the well-established IMIM Consortium are committed to offer, both local and international students, the best, friendly, efficient and quick support, throughout your student’s journey. Each University has a dedicated IMIM coordinator, Programme Director and service specific Offices who are there for you! At each University, Offices will differ, but the coordinators will guide you where to.

IMIM will help with applying to the programme, visa applications, and assistance in obtaining residence permit.
It is recommended that you start the visa process at least 3 months before you move to Spain to ensure that you receive it on time. You can begin the process by going directly to the relevant Embassy in your home country or your place of residence. Also, we strongly recommend that you reserve your place in the IMIM as soon as possible; once you do so, we will send you an official welcome email with further instructions.

Candidates may apply for IMIM tuition waivers which are partial discounts and are awarded based mainly on the following criteria:

  • Candidates activating the application before March 31st 2023 will get an Early-Bird discount of 1,000€
  • Students coming from IMIM partner institutions are eligible for discounts of up to 4,000€

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need or merit, more specifically on academic excellence and the applicant’s personal motivation for applying to the program.

  • Merit-based scholarships – Based on the candidate profile or sponsored by a corporate partner (e.g. ACCIONA)
  • IMIM Scholarships cover only tuition fees; scholarship award amounts are deducted from the tuition fee bill.
  • IMIM Scholarships may not, in any way, constitute living expenses.

Every IMIM student receives -when admitted to the school- a Welcome Pack with a lot of practical information in it, including liability Accommodation advice. We will support you through all administrative procedures, smooth campus transfers and enrollment assistance.

You can always contact your campus Student coordinator for more information about your campus’ accommodation possibilities.

In order to study at IMIM, all students are required to have complete health insurance that covers any illness or accident that may occur during the program. This coverage can be ensured through (1) the Spanish social security system (only for Spanish citizens), (2) the European Health Card (only for eligible EU citizens who reside in Europe), or (3) a private medical insurance that covers them during the whole program (for all other students). It is essential that students have insurance for their own safety.

Moving to a different country, where everything is new and strange, can be challenging and overwhelming sometimes. Please be sure that we are here to help and support you, no matter how small your struggle may seem to you. We can offer:

  • Disability support
  • Mental & medical health support
  • Student Success Advice
  • Coaching/ Mentoring program
  • Drop in sessions
  • Careers Advisory Service
